Position Summary:
 

Apprentices are expected to actively listen to their superiors, demonstrate a willingness to learn, and absorb valuable information. They will develop a keen eye for detail and cultivate effective teamwork skills.

Position Description: The apprentice role primarily involves fabricating RCT products, including tasks such as cutting, bending, drilling, and general clean-up. This list is not exhaustive and may encompass additional responsibilities within the scope of the role.

Responsibilities:

 

​1. Complete scheduled work in line with our values and baseline standards

 

• Always follow product drawings.

• Collaborate effectively within our team, aligned with our values.

• Consistently deliver work that meets RCT's high standards of quality.

• Maintain a strong focus on safety while performing all tasks.

 

​2. Ensure maximum efficiency and productivity
​

• Arrive at least 5 minutes prior to the designated start time.

• Return from breaks on time.

• Proactively think ahead to optimise time and maintain efficiency.

• Minimise wastage of materials.

• Demonstrate initiative by suggesting more productive approaches to tasks and effectively communicate them to the workshop foreman.

• Follow all RCT processes and procedures.

 

3. Demonstrate self-motivation and value personal improvement, fostering open communication and continuous growth

​

• Display self-motivation and value personal improvement by taking the initiative to upskill.

• Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail.

 

4. Team Culture & Feedback
 

• Actively participate in whiteboard and toolbox talks, fostering engagement and encouragement among team members.

• Initiate conversations and ask relevant questions to achieve desired outcomes.

• Debrief meetings, situations, and conversations to facilitate continuous learning and improvement.

• Motivate others and consistently bring a positive attitude to the workplace.

• Ensure cleanliness is upheld in the workplace with all tasks performed.

 

Qualifications Required :

 

• Valid driver's license.

• Forklift license.
